Our students were able to see that being a hero is not just about having superpowers, but it's also about how you treat others and live your life.
Overall, I would highly recommend High Tide Global to any school looking for an engaging and impactful program.

I have noticed a couple of my kids use the POWords in certain small group situations, and it'll be during an activity where maybe they're working on a project, and one child is not focusing and this one little girl I've heard multiple times say, You can do it. You're such a good worker.

During session 5 Affirming our unique qualities, the students shared their ideas, they were strongly motivated highlighting the qualities and abilities of each one, they were very happy. It begins to be seen how children can already handle a larger vocabulary thanks to the POWORDS, they appropriate them and remind each other of them.

We created a welcoming environment where the boys felt safe and excited to discover their superpowers. We formed a circle for the superhero pact, emphasizing respectful listening without judgment.

Evelin, one of the girls in fifth grade, said that on some occasions she was not proud of what she has achieved so far because her mother was never satisfied with what she did. As a guide for this session, I told her that she had to find her superpower and that possibly it would be to be resilient because he had the ability to know how to face adverse events in a constructive way.

We began our second session with a discussion about superheroes, recalling their missions and how they connect with their superpowers. We debated whether superheroes need external sources for their powers. Some believed they didn't need outside help, while others felt that approval from parents or friends enhanced their superpowers.

We listened to the audio "AFFIRMATIONS OF STRENGTH AND CONFIDENCE" in different spots around the classroom. We discussed how they felt hearing these affirmations and realizing they applied to themselves, not just others. They mentioned feeling nervous because the session made them confront their self-beliefs, but they are enjoying having this personal space.

We started to have a conversation, but they couldn't concentrate because they came with a lot of energy because they had just finished recess. So I told them that we would have a break to relax and we did the deep breathing technique. I put relaxing music on them and after relaxing we resumed the activity.

In the second session, the boys enjoyed repeating empowering phrases. They enthusiastically recalled their superhero code and engaged in a conversation about how superheroes connect with their powers. Afterward, they found comfortable spots to listen to the "Affirmations of Strength and Confidence" audio. Each boy reflected on their favorite affirmations silently.

At the moment of listening to the audio, they paid attention. They each took an empowering phrase and repeated it to themselves. At first, I had difficulty with Isabella's attitude, because she is not having a good time at home and showed negativity. Despite that, when I made her see how valuable she is, and the superpowers she possesses and can continue to develop, she showed a better attitude.

We have observed many positive changes in the children, especially in the way they express themselves about themselves. We feel very fortunate to have had this valuable tool and sincerely hope to be able to continue in this direction with our children.
